The write that records an event is a side effect. It gets dropped in a refactor, the table it fed goes to zero, and the release ships green, because a row that stopped arriving is not a failing test. - Skene exists because someone has to watch the line of code that records the event ## What we changed our mind about. Then ### We started by selling an open-source developer tool. Plenty of developers ran it. Almost none of them bought the cloud product. Now ### Since May 2026 we sell to the growth team.
