Skene in public

Skene's community is for engineers who keep their analytics correct from the codebase. It is where we share the tools, patterns, and experiments we actually use.

What the community is

Skene's community is a working group for engineers who care about their analytics staying correct. It is where we publish the real artifacts behind the product: code, manifests, experiments, and event patterns that show how the system behaves in practice.

It is intentionally small, technical, and focused. You should be able to see how things work, what we are trying, and what we have decided not to pursue, without a funnel, nurture sequence, or sales motion layered on top.

What exists publicly

These are the main entry points into Skene's public work. Each page focuses on a different kind of artifact.

Open stack
How and why Skene publishes a connected set of open tools and artifacts.
Open source
Repositories, libraries, and tools we maintain or experiment with in public.
Experiments
Prototypes, failed ideas, and internal utilities made public as-is.
Discussions
Where public conversations about Skene happen outside this site.
Events
Past and future public sessions, office hours, and recordings.
Contribute
How to contribute code or ideas, and where the boundaries are.

How people participate

Participation is grounded in real work and real usage, not campaigns. Common ways people interact with the Skene community include:

Reading and using open source projects in their own stacks.

Filing issues, questions, or small fixes against public repositories.

Proposing experiments or sharing results from their own implementations.

Joining public discussions and sessions when they are relevant to their work.
